So so many things have happened over this summer that it has been hard to keep up with the blog. I hope to get better at updating more frequently. So Zoe was born at the end of May and so we spent most of June at home. We celebrated Kevin's 30th Birthday with a little party with some friends and we also celebrated Kevin's first official fathers day- Zoe went to church for the first time on Father's day so she could sit with her Dad during Sacrament meeting!!
Then July came and we were gone majority of the month. First we began by going up north to Pinedale/Heber for the 4th of July! Zoe loved going to her first Heber 4th of July parade and fireworks show-She slept through most of both events! We all enjoyed relaxing at the Fischbeck cabin and Jackson cabin (Jackson cabin was just finishing an interior remodel that looks great!) The 4th was filled with fun, family, fireworks and a great BBQ.
The following weekend Zoe and I flew up to Salt Lake City for my Aunt Dianna's wedding, while Kevin was in St. George playing in our favorite "Beat the Heat" softball tournament. Zoe did great on her first flight! She didn't make a peep and it helped that Grandpa Jackson, Kristy, Jason, Jenny and Skyler were all there to help out! While in Utah for the wedding we got to see many cousins and Aunt and Uncles. The whole Jackson family except for Stephanie and her boys, and Kevin were able to make it and we all stayed at Wendy and Greg's house! We had a great time hanging out, going to the wedding, and going on Snowie Runs!
We then celebrated my 27th birthday and left for the Fischbeck family reunion at the cabin and then at Big Lake, the following weekend! We spent the weekend at the Fischbeck cabin, eating, playing games, talent shows, obstacle courses, and crafts. Then we went up to Big Lake to go camping! Zoe's first camping experience and my first experience holding a crawdad (I was very brave and Kevin promised my a new watch if I held it!) We had a great time playing games and riding bikes- they had great places to ride. We brought grandma and grandpa Jackson's 3 wheel bike up and it was big hit!
In August we have spent more time at home, but we were getting ready for Zoe's big day- Her Blessing! She was blessed August 16th by Kevin! Grandpa Fischbeck, Grandpa Jackson, Uncles-Jason, Courtney, Jaron, Dan, Mike, Casey, Keith, Jason and Skyler and Bishop Shields all participated in the blessing. Zoe was great and smiled when Kevin said her name during the blessing (grandpa Jackson was peeking!) Everyone came back to our house for cinnamon rolls, crepes, and fruit! It was a great day and very special for us as a family.
Zoe is now almost three months old and has hit some major milestones! July 24th the day we left for the Fischbeck family reunion, Zoe had her first smile that wasn't caused by gas! She is now a very smiley little girl. She also had her first babysitters while I was at Dianna's wedding. She was babysat by Emily, Hannah, a young woman name Jordan and her younger sister! Zoe has also become an avid hand sucker! She sucked her thumb for the first time on Aug. 7th and is always trying to eat her hand! On Aug. 8th Zoe began to sleep in her own room and in her crib! She has done great ever since! Zoe has also begun to sleep through the night since moving into her own room! She is growing up so quickly, but we are enjoying every moment! She truly has brought so much joy into our lives!
P.S. She still has all her dark hair!
